Germany: Frankfurt Regional Court: No compensation for damages for outing
A basketball player who works in France but lives in Germany was outed as gay by a Facebook post of a friend of his club almost two years ago. The sportsman took legal action against the publication, but failed in the Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main with his claim for at least 15,000 euros in damages for pain and suffering. This emerges from a judgement of 20 February (Az. 2-03 O 162/19), which has now become known.
